Our space is an homage to Mexican spirits, be it through their use in the crafting of every cocktail, or the education that comes with every pour of Mezcal.

A story of flavors, artistry, and the people who guide us

The year is 1815. It has been 5 years from the now famous Cry of Dolores. The territory known as Nueva España finds itself in the middle of a revolution that will come to be known as the Mexican War of Independence. At that very same time, the defeated and shamed French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte, waits alone in exile on the Island of Elba. The world doesn't know it yet, but the Emperor is only days away from making his grand escape in hopes of coming back to his country to try and take back what is left of his empire.

I had a wonderful time here. I showed up too late for dinner next door so stopped here for a drink to figure out next steps. Our drinks were exquisite. Service was awesome. Bar was chill and had a good vibe. I will definitely return when in the city

We went there a a small group with the intention of tasting several different tequilas. We were treated so well! The red carpet was rolled out and we had a great time and learned so much from our server. I highly recommend Comala. Food was also unique and delicious.

We had an exceptional experience at Comala. The drinks menu came with a diagram of the flavor profile AND how each was served. Why doesn't every bar do this? If you want wine it's all Mexican. Then the food we ordered (skirt steak tacos, chilaquiles but very elevated, and padron peppers) arrived and every dish was wonderful. Highly recommended.

This place is the real deal. Go to Comala with an open mind and try what the bartender suggests. You will learn about agave and feel like you're in Mexico. Don't skip the botanas!
